The Care Quality Commission is England's health and social care services regulator. Ashford House is rated good, based on the level of care and safety at the home. Individuals who require 24-hour assistance and care from qualified nurses due to medical conditions and/or personal living needs. This may include people that require intensive rehabilitative care following a stroke, or simply need support using a peg feeding tube. I have been part of the Ashford House team for a long time now and I am enjoying using my skills and experience in nursing to care for the residents.

Having worked with acute dementia for many years, I know how to run a dementia nursing unit to a high standard, and pass my knowledge on to our staff to ensure every resident is well cared for. If HOOP doesn't provide all the information you need, submit your HOOP session to us to arrange a conversation with an EAC Advisor. EAC Advice is a free, specialist and independent telephone advice service provide by the charity Elderly Accommodation Counsel . We’re proud to provide high-quality nursing, residential, and dementia care as-well as respite care which you can book up to a year in advance. Some care homes are registered to provide personal care only, for example help with washing, dressing and giving medication. Others also provide nursing, and will have a nurse on duty twenty-four hours a day. Daily help, including personal care, is available on site and one or more meals are available daily in a dining room or restaurant. Additional facilities are also common – for example hairdressing salons, hobby rooms and gyms.

There is a communal garden with a courtyard and decking area providing a space for barbeques, swing ball, football or to just relax.
